JEPPE DENCKER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR DAHLMAN1807
"Today we are just as committed to create beautiful and durable handcrafted leather goods as our predecessors, celebrating old and proud traditions in a contemporary context."

Handmade leather goods since 1807
The Architect's belt is a Dahlman classic. Originally designed in the 1940s and with its minimalistic aesthetics and high quality, it's been one of our signature products ever since. Many famous modernist designers and architects wore this belt in the 50s and 60s, amongst these cultural icons such as Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen and Miles Davis.
The belt is also part of the Danish Arts Foundations collection of Danish design classics.
This belt has been handmade by the oldest leather manufacturer in Germany dating back to 1825.
It is a small family-run business, and since the 1970s they have focused solely on crafting belts of the highest quality.
The leather used is vegetable-tanned and produced by an old traditional tannery using only bark, leaves and fruits. So no harmful chemicals are used in the tanning process, leaving a natural, durable leather that will and develop a beautiful patina over time.
These belts are ready to send or be picked up in our store within 3-4 working days.
